What does CoMaS do?

The Course Management System (CoMaS) manages an online assessment session. It monitors and restricts access to system resources; e.g., clipboard, files and web sites. CoMaS logs events which it considers to be anomalous. It also performs a number of system checks in order to ensure that the environment supports an online assessment session and manages access to applications and web sites. The system takes regular screen shots that are transferred securely to a CoMaS Server. A web cam is used to confirm identity and monitor presence through periodic web cam snapshots. Archives of work are created periodically and uploaded securely to a CoMaS Server. Reports of assessment sessions can be viewed online and annotated.

Can CoMaS manage AI applications?

CoMaS can manage popular AI applications and restrict access to internet-based resources hosting AI applications.

CoMaS is in use at Carleton University, Canada. Over 2,000 exams and 80,000 student online assessments have used the system.
